Asics fall apart Asics a waist of money Asics don't respond to any complaint!!

36 of 38 Asics reviews

I have worn Asics for many years and over the last few years the quality of the product is now so poor they start to wear out within weeks!

The main problem I have found is the lining material around the ankle and heal area.It starts to pill and ball within days of wearing them and eventually within less than two months a small hole forms at that point.

With every wear that hole gets bigger and bigger until the shoe is so uncomfortable to wear anymore and then starts to course a blister on the foot. Effectively making the shoe that looks brand new worn out within three months use. Dont waist your money on the product until they address the problem.

They "ASICS" ignore any correspondence I have tried to make with them to discuss the issue.

XXXrepeat:Yes, 100% true, I use the Asics Fuji attack, and after only 250 km you are straight trough the fabric of the heels. What is also crazy is that the insole will creep up because Asics has a loose fabric inside, a fabric that separates the sole from the inlay sole. The only way to stop this creeping up of the insole is to remove the fabric and glue the insole on the sole. Worn out heels can best be reinforced with silicon kit. Only do this after a few times use, since new fabric=yarn has a kind of slack that makes the fabric initially highly repellent.
One reason for quick worn out heels could be that the polyester of high endurance socks, is stronger and sturdier than the fabric that lines the shoe, as a result the polyester of the sock functions as an abrasive, as sandpaper! Silicon is basically glass and or is basically liquid sand. Once coated with silicon the resistance of the heel goes up 1000 percent. Tape with duct tape left and right to apply a margin. Apply silicone, smoothen the layer after a few minutes with your finger dipped in water and soap. Silicone on silicon adheres very well. If thought necessary buy high quality silicon kit. Your problem is definitely gone.

Just wanted to update that FootLocker.com took them back with no charge and sent me a new pair and the new pair is just great. That first pair stained my socks red and this duplicate pair didn't, so that first pair was just really bad. My suggestion is to get them from a good store and take them back while still under warranty and try another pair. This pair is still going strong since June, and it's almost Nov.

Have exact same problem after about 90 days. I only wear them on the treadmill for walking, not even jogging or running. Because I purchased them from footlocker.com, I'm waiting for them to point at each other for replace or refund. Will keep posted.
